Bonjour BP families.

I'd like to start the week recognizing our Student Council, who is organizing a "Culture Dress Day" in recognition of Black History Month on February 29 this week. Black History Month is a time to honor the contributions and legacy of Black people in Canada. To celebrate these contributions and legacies student council is inviting students to wear their traditional dress from their cultures. An alternative for those who might not have traditional dress attire to wear, is to wear the colours of the Pan African Flag, which are red, black, and green. Students are invited to wear their traditional dress or wear red/black/green on the 29th.

Pink Shirt Day

The CBE supports bullying prevention and awareness and recognizes the importance of Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday, February 28. Pink Shirt Day is an opportunity that supports increased awareness and prevention of bullying in schools, workplaces, homes and online and helps support bolstering children's self-esteem. In Homeroom class, students will continue the work and discussions on bullying behaviour and preventative actions that they can take to ensure BP continues to be a safe, inclusive environment for all. We encourage everyone to wear pink on Wednesday.

Cafeteria Closure

Please note that the cafeteria will be closed for food sales on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. The space will remain open for students to eat lunch.
