Bonjour BP parents,
Welcome back from spring break! We hope the last week has been a relaxing one for you.
Away for the Day- Phones
We would like to remind you of our current policy regarding the use of cell phones at BP, aimed at promoting an educational environment conducive to learning and the safety of all.
We continue to be an Away for the Day school. Phones must be left in students' personal lockers upon arrival at school and until the end of classes. We do this to ensure maximal productivity and a distraction-free learning environment for our students.
If urgent communication is necessary on your part, we ask that you contact the main office. Our team will deliver the message to your child and if need be, put you in communication with them.
Please see our electronic device policy in the "related information" panel on this page . We thank you in advance for your support.
Safe Online Behaviours
There have been some incidences of unsafe online behaviours that have come to our attention lately. With the growing use of AI, please be aware of these apps that have made their way into schools and engage in the discussion with your child(ren) about safe online behaviours and etiquette. This is certainly not an exhaustive list, rather a heads up that this is what is happening in schools at the moment.
- Snap Maps: a Snap Chat offshoot that allows for anyone using the app to disclose their location in real time learn more here
- AI deepfakes: multiple apps that allow AI to generate images and events. This can place people in compromising and dangerous situations and allow misinformation to spread. Learn more here!
