Bonjour BP families

There is a lot of excitement in the air this week with our Green Fools Circus Artist in Residency for all students in Phys Ed. Students had the chance to do all sorts of circus activities such as juggling, tossing, stilt walking, and spinning!

Personal Mobile Device Reminder

The ministerial order for personal mobile devices (PMDs) is still in effect. We ask that families review the expectation with their students that all PMD's are to be stored in lockers, powered down during the school day. This includes lunch time. If students wish to access their PMDs at lunch it must be off of school property.

Good Citizenship

We noticed this week that there were several students that left their fun lunch packaging strewn about on neighbours' lawns, alley ways and the streets. This is unacceptable. Teachers took the time on Thursday to review expectations with students of what it means to be good neighbours and to be respectful in the community. Students who did not appropriately dispose of their packaging gave back to the community by performing some clean up duties. We are appreciative of families also reinforcing this messaging to their students.

CBE 2025-2026 Calendar

As BP families plan their lives, including travel, we request consideration of the published CBE calendar of non-instructional days:

2025-2026 CBE Instructional Calendar

Note that the first day of school is on Tues. Sept. 2, 2025 (after the August long weekend). Similar to this school year, a Fall Break has been set in November, in addition to the customary Winter and Spring breaks. Maintaining regular school attendance, and planning travel during scheduled breaks, is vital to success in learning and social development. if you know your current grade 7/8 student will not be returning to BP next year, please email bishoppinkham@cbe.ab.ca and let us know as soon as possible
