BP Weekly Updates | January 30, 2024

Bonjour BP families:

We had a wonderful turnout for our open house last week. Thanks to all families and students who were able to join. We have some extremely talented Jazz Band students and grades 7-9 students who were on hand to showcase our wonderful programming.

Report Cards should be visible in your MYCBE account as of today. We close off this week and month with an acknowledgement of the incredible efforts of our staff. Report card writing is an intensive period of collaboration, consultation with colleagues, compilation of assessment evidence, and peer editing.  When the report cards become live for families and students to view, know that they have been crafted with much diligence, oversight, and personalized care for the academic, physical, social and emotional growth of each student.

Doing all of this alongside faculty meetings, field trips, band rehearsals, volleyball games, and extra-curricular clubs is evidence that our staff is bringing the best they have to the BP school community. Merci!

New fees added

Please log on to your MyCBE account, as new fees have been assigned for semester 2 Complementary classes.

AM/PM Dropoffs

Please remind your students to use caution and be aware at AM/PM dropoffs/pickups at school. We all too often see students distracted while crossing the street and unaware of the approaching traffic. Please use the designated crosswalks for crossing.

Extra Curricular Volleyball

All CBE middle schools have set similar expectations for games that promote safety, respect, and a positive experience for all. They include:

·        All student spectators/athletes must be under the direct supervision of a designated adult for the duration of the games

·        There are no in an out privileges for spectators

·        Student spectators without parental supervision will be directed by the hosting school administration to leave the building

·        All spectators - students or adults - are expected to cheer and support players/coaches/referees/parents/guardians in a positive manner

·        Disrespectful behaviours will be addressed by school administration promptly and may result in spectators being directed to leave the game and the school building

·        Parents/guardians who bring younger children are responsible at all times for their direct supervision. Please ensure that they are not wandering the halls and playing on phys ed equipment in the gym/on stage

These expectations have been reviewed with all of our students in school. Please review with your student(s) as well. We thank you in advance for your ongoing support.
