BP Weekly Updates | September 19, 2023

Bonjour BP families:

Please see the attached schedule for BP's Meet the Teacher evening this Thursday from 6:30-8:00 PM.  Developing strong parent-teacher-student partnerships early on will ensure that we succeed in our common educational goals.  This evening is not structured to host private conversations about specific students.  Rather, it is a time to feel the team spirit, connect to the physical learning space, and have your child walk you around.   BP Meet the Teacher Information

Student Safety and Good Citizenship

Please remind your student to be alert when crossing the street.  Despite active teacher supervision, dangerous situations regularly occur on 63rd Avenue.

  • Always crossing at marked crossings (no jay-walking)
  • Keeping eyes on the vehicles
  • Pausing to proceed into the street until all vehicles have stopped
  • Taking out head phones and refraining from speaking on the cell phone while crossing

We also request reinforcement of good etiquette when in the neighbourhood over the lunch hour.  This includes:

  • Disposing of waste correctly
  • Being courteous in the Lakeview Plaza businesses
  • Not loitering in these venues unless purchasing food
  • Not loitering in the church parking lot and condominiums across the street from the school

Student forms

The majority of required forms are hyperlinked below.  These forms must be completed and submitted before the end of September. The forms you will need to fill out are as follows. We have had very few students return the forms, so please verify that they are completed for your child(ren) and send them in as soon as possible.

Please complete the Demographic Verification on your My CBE Parent Account

Basketball Schedule

Please see attached for the CMLSAA Basketball schedule  for this season. We remind spectators that while at the school watching games, there are no in and out privileges and CBE code of conduct for students still applies. We all wish to enjoy watching our students athletes compete in a respectful and safe environment.

French for Parents/Guardians

Chinook Learning Services offers courses specifically designed for parents and caregivers of CBE French Immersion students.
