Bonjour BP families, 

We have finished up an almost 2 week artist in residency by Mat Mailandt from Think Fast Comedy. Mat worked with the students across our French and English programs to build student confidence in improvisational activities and access specific subject specific languaging. Students have enjoyed Mat's activities for the past few years and were delighted to see him return as he has built positive and strong relationships in our school community. You may also recognize him as the "bougie hippy" from the Leon's Furniture commercials a couple of years back. In particular, I was impressed with the progress of our late immersion students and the growth in their speaking abilities in the short time he was here! Merci Mat! 

A special shoutout to the grade 9 Leadership students and Ms. McNeice for running some stellar pep rallies today to build student belonging and community. Hungry Hungry Hippos and musical chairs never gets old.  

Yearbooks 

Yearbooks for this school year will be delivered to students in June! Payment for yearbooks can be made through this LINK. You will be asked for your student’s homeroom teacher when purchasing for distribution. All payments/orders can all be made online. The school is not collecting payments for yearbooks for this year.  

Quick + Easy Pick-Up Reminder 

Got an appointment on the schedule? Give your kid a heads-up before the school day starts, so they know what's coming. Then just give the office a ring about 10–15 minutes before you arrive. We’ll let your child know so they can sign themselves out and meet you outside—no extra wait time, no chaos. 

When you call, just tell us whether they’re done for the day or coming back. Easy! 

Reporting A Student Absence 

Did you know you can email us to report an absence? It’s fast and easy! Just send a quick note with the student full name and reason for absence to bishoppinkham@cbe.ab.ca. 

You can also call the Bishop Pinkham absence line at 403-777-7840 and leave a message anytime if that’s easier for you.
