Bonjour 2025-2026 Bishop Pinkham families 

Before the end of the school year, I wanted to send out a quick message so that you know what to expect for September.  

The following link will take you to our website where you can find back to school information. The first day of school for students is September 2 at 8 AM.   

School supply lists will be made available on the course outlines given to students at the beginning of September. If you really want to make some purchases over the summer, you can definitely count on the basics such as: binders, pencils, pens, erasers, dividers, lined paper, white out, and a scientific calculator. Some students prefer an agenda- this is optional.  

We will continue to adhere to the Alberta Education's 2024 announcement that K-12 students in all school districts in the province will no longer be permitted to use personal mobile devices during instructional time. In addition, access to social media sites will be restricted. We have had a successful year behind us with this new policy.  

For those wondering about PE gear, this will be made available in September in PE classes. In the meantime, we suggest that students have a pair of indoor athletic shoes. At BP, students will have the choice to change into PE clothing for PE classes. Students wanting to change can purchase BP branded wear or bring a change of clothes from home. BP spirit wear (hoodies, sweats, etc.) will also be available for purchase in September.  

Incoming grade 7 students might want to practice how to open a combination lock over the summer, as this will become a daily ritual now that they will have lockers.  

Yellow bus routes will be available for those students registered on parent MyCBE accounts towards the end of August. The school will be closed at 12:30 PM on June 27, and the main office will be reopening at noon on August 28. Please note that all school staff will be on holiday from 12:30 PM June 27 to August 27 when we return. Emails and phone calls are not monitored during this time.  

We will be sending you more information about the first day of school during the third week of August. In the meantime, have a safe and restful summer! We can’t wait to see you in September.
