Bonjour BP families
A reminder that Report Cards go live on January 27. Our teachers have been hard at work summarizing student learning for term 1. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher. Their email addresses can be found here
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on February 27 (4-8 PM) and February 28 (8:30 AM-12 PM) via MS Teams online. A huge thank you to Ms. Shawna who has been hard at work setting up the conference bookings this week. The booking window opens on February 19 at 6PM and will close February 26 at 6PM. In the meantime, if you have any questions pertaining to your child's achievement in their classes, please contact teachers rather than waiting until the end of February.
Traffic Safety
We have seen a number of close calls when it comes to student safety at pick up and drop off over the past few weeks. Please remember that the speed limit is 30 KMH. Also please look out for students crossing the street and drop off/pick up outside of the bus zones and have students use marked crosswalks when crossing the street.
2025-2026 Registration – Open Now!
We are open for registration in all three programs of the school – Continuing French Immersion (Grades 7-9), Late French (Grades 7-9) and English Community Program (Grades 7-9). CBE decisions around registration eligibility are based on family address and catchment area. Registration at your designated school for 2025-2026 will be required. To confirm, key in your current address to determine designated school: Find a School.
For all other students, registration is automatically rolled over from this year to next year, with no paperwork or registration processes required.
Should families have plans to move out of the area or province, or those who are electing to leave Bishop Pinkham for any other reason, are requested to please email this information to bishoppinkham@cbe.ab.ca
Over the past three weeks we have visited south-west elementary and middle schools to advertise our Grade 7 Late French Immersion program. Bold signs are placed in key south-west neighbourhoods leading up to our annual Open House. Encourage your neighbours, friends or family members to attend the Open House on January 30, 6:30-8 PM. This is one of most highly attended and interactive evenings of the school year. See the invitation on our school website: Open House

NEW - Archery Introduction Unit
We are pleased to inform you that your child will have an opportunity to participate in a NASP archery module in Physical Education (PE) class led by Mr. Hansinger. Archery can benefit students in many ways. It can help with hand and eye coordination, mental sharpness, strength, and endurance. Parent letter and Acknowledgement & Risk form must be returned no later than Monday February 10, 2025. The form is attached here
The module will look to allow students to develop archery skills in a safe and controlled shooting range. The unit will be an introductory to archery, providing students with 2 days of target shooting. The unit will start on February 22 & end on February 28, 2025 for all PE groups.
Please note, students not participating in the module will join another PE class. In addition, any unreturned forms will result in your child joining another PE class and not participating in archery.
