Bonjour BP families.
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank our Bishop Pinkham Parent Association (BPPA) for everything they do for students. Their generosity in approving this year's budget will allow for valued enrichment for students this year. They gladly support curricular enhancements, activities, and items for the school such as transportation for field trips, novel study sets for students, supplies for science experiments, equipment for phys ed, and artist in residence experiences, just to name a few. On behalf of BP staff, merci!
We are excited to welcome a new face to the front office to provide student support. Please welcome Ms. Angela to BP. She started yesterday and is already learning the ropes!
Please note that teachers will be working on report cards starting on January 30. As a result, parent access to MyCBE to view grades will be disabled from January 30-February 24. If, during this time, you do have any questions about your child's achievement, please reach out to their teacher.

Parent Opt In for Human Sexuality Forms
In accordance with Section 58.11 of the Education Act, Alberta schools must now obtain written consent of parents prior to providing instructions or materials that deal primarily and explicitly with human sexuality, gender identity or sexual orientation. Students are unable to participate in this portion of the curriculum unless consent is explicitly granted. Please see the following attachments for your student (s) grade and letter.
Grade 9 PATs- A Look Ahead
We have been provided with the upcoming Grade 9 PAT schedule and are sharing now so that families are aware. PATs do not count for a student's report card grade and do not impact high school course recommendations. If a student is absent on the day of a PAT, they can write upon return, but cannot write in advance.
