Bonjour BP families.
We are looking forward to warmer weather and the arrival of spring (fingers crossed!). French Week/Semaine de la Francophonie will be celebrated school wide in March. Keep on the lookout for fun school wide student activities such as lessons infused with French culture, theme days, and a cheese hunt (a favourite from last year). On March 20, we will be celebrating Mardi Gras, BP style. It will be a special day where students will take part in a rotation of activities dedicated to celebrating la Francophonie around the world.
CUPE strike ongoing
Schools are still without their facility operators and cleaning staff. I would like to thank the students for cleaning up after themselves this week, as it makes a big difference. There are contingency plans in place and the following changes are still in effect:
- Doors will open at 7:45 AM (no change), if students have AM practices for volleyball, these will continue unchanged
- Students are asked to leave the building as soon as possible after the last bell at 2:30 PM (M-R)/12 PM (F), and no later than 3:15 PM if in a supervised activity on Monday to Thursdays
- The volleyball season will continue as planned
- For any sports games that are hosted at the school, no student spectators are allowed
- Students are reminded to clean up after themselves in class, in halls, and at lunch
Option fees added to PowerSchool
Please log onto your MyCBE Account to ensure that the option class fees are paid for your student. These fees ensure that your student has the necessary materials available to them in their classes.
PE Updates
Students are going to be completing fitness testing next week. Please ensure that they have the appropriate attire and footwear to participate.
