Bonjour BP families.

Bravo and congratulations to our Boys and Girls Soccer teams who won their divisional final games last week! Way to go on an excellent season and representing our school so well.

Halloween at BP

Halloween is just around the corner, and many students are looking forward to dressing up on October 30 (yes, a Friday)! As you help your child choose a costume, we ask that it be appropriate for the school setting and allow them to participate comfortably and safely in all learning activities throughout the day.

To help ensure that Halloween is enjoyable and inclusive for everyone, please avoid costumes that:

  • Include weapons or promote violence.
  • Contain excessively gory or frightening elements.
  • Hide a student's identity completely.
  • Represent negative stereotypes of people, cultures, religions, or communities.
  • Mock or appropriate cultures, faiths, racial identities, or the 2SLGBTQI+ community.
  • Reference tragic or traumatic historical events.
  • Do not align with our school's expectations for appropriate attire.

If a costume does not meet these expectations, students may be asked to change into alternative clothing.

Our goal is for all members of our school community to enjoy the fun of Halloween while feeling safe, respected, and included. Thank you for your support in helping us create a positive experience for everyone.

Lakeview Basketball Court

We have received many communications from the Lakeview Community Association asking for our students to stay off the courts until the end of October 22 so that the grass can take root. We have shared this message extensively with students via morning announcements and on our TVs. Please also share this message at home. There will be stakes and rope around the courts to limit access.

Well being sessions for Families

Child & Youth Well-Being Sessions for Families & Caregivers

The CBE invites all parents and guardians to join us for a live online series focused on supporting child and youth well-being. Hosted by the Recovery Alberta Community Education Service (CES) Program in collaboration with experts from the Calgary community, this year's sessions will explore a range of timely topics.

These sessions are free and provide information, resources, helplines, and services to support healthy child and youth development.
