Bonjour BP families, 

We look forward to seeing you at our Meet the Teacher event this Thursday from 5:30-7:00 PM. This evening is an opportunity for parents to run through a day in the life of a BP student and meet their child(ren)'s teachers. Please note that this evening is not meant for updates on your child's specific progress as it's too soon in the year. If you would like an update, please email your child's teacher.

Demographic Verification Forms – Action Required 

Thank you to the families who have already completed their Demographic Verification Form for the 2026-27 school year. These can be found on your School Engage accounts.  

If you have not yet completed this form, please do so as soon as possible. The deadline was September 14, and reminder notifications are being sent to families with outstanding forms. 

Why is this important? 
Demographic Verification Forms are a legal requirement from Alberta Education and Childcare and are used to determine school funding. Incomplete forms may impact funding provided to the Calgary Board of Education, which supports programs and services for students. 

Our goal is 100% completion. If you have not yet submitted your form, please take a few minutes to complete it at your earliest convenience. 

Orange Shirt Day – Tuesday September 29 

We have launched the school year by focusing on classroom learning related to our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation through education.  Contemplating truth seeking and resilience is one of the ways our community is committing to the reconciliation process. Bishop Pinkham School’s commitment this school year is to build educator knowledge on how to integrate Indigenous knowledges, languages, and teaching methods into classrooms. Specific learning related to the significance of Orange Shirt Day will occur this week.  Students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt. Invite | National Day for TRC & Orange Shirt Day Events 

All CBE staff, students, families, friends, and neighbors are invited to continue learning and show support at the 5th annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day event taking place at the Confluence Historic Site on Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 9-10:30 a.m. This important community gathering is a collaboration between the City of Calgary, CBE, Calgary Catholic School District, Calgary Police Service, Calgary Fire Department, and The Confluence. A CBE group photo will be taken at the CBE Smudge Tipi at the end of the event. Meet us there! 🧡

Terry Fox 

Our Terry Fox Run was a great success on September 17th, 2026.  So many students and staff showed up in red and white to show support for Terry and his legacy! This year, our goal as a school is to raise $2,500 to support cancer research. We have raised $2340.00 so far. THANK YOU all! Let's keep it going.
