Welcome back from the long weekend BP families. We hope the extra day brought some time spent doing the things you love! A bit of a long message, but there is much information to share this week.
Forms, forms, and more forms!
The beginning of the school year means many forms to sign. The following forms are no longer available hard copy and can be filled out on your School Engage after sing in your MyCBE account. The deadline for form completion is September 18.
Please log on and complete as soon as possible so we have accurate records for our students. Timely completion is helpful where provincial funding is concerned.
- Demographic Verification Form
- Annual Authorization Form (combines the following forms: School District use of Personal Information; Consent for CBE Use of Student Information; Consent for use of Student Information by News Media and Outside Groups)
- Citizenship Information Update Form
These forms to be filled out are not on your School Engage account and are attached below. Please print, sign, and return to homeroom teacher.
- Science Safety Contract
- Digital Citizenship/Admirable Use Policy (for use if your child may use digital resources/tools online while at school, in line with the recent Ministerial Order)
- Student Health Plan (to be completed only if a physical or medical condition may affect attendance or if medication is to be taken at school)
Message from the Lakeview Community Association
Please refrain from riding the skateboards/scooters on the courts, as they are damaging the surface. We are trying to balance access to the courts for the community, while ensuring the new courts are protected so that they are looking their best for the next 50 years. We certainly want the kids to enjoy the new courts, play basketball and use the space to hang out, we just want to avoid activities that could damage the surfaces. There will not be a skateboard park at this location anymore including ramps etc.. Thank you!
Traffic Safety
A gentle reminder to all that there have been some close calls with students and cars at the beginning and end of school. Please speak with your student about traffic safety (walking into the street while on phone and not paying attention to cars, walking into street in between buses, cars not following speed limit, and parking lot drop offs/pick ups, U turns, etc.) Although convenient at times to not pay attention to safety, the potential for danger and injuries takes precedence. Please also refrain from using the private parking areas in the condo across from us for U turns and cutting through as we want to respect our neighbours. Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe.
Basketball
Basketball tryouts will begin Tuesday, September 8th in the gymnasium. Please bring appropriate athletic clothing, shoes, and be prepared to showcase your skills! Attached is the basketball tryout schedule for all teams.
Fitset Ninja PE Experience
We are excited to welcome Fitset Ninja to our school from September 22–24! During this three-day period, all students will have the opportunity to participate in a one-day Fitset Ninja experience during their regular Physical Education class.
Fitset Ninja provides students with a fun and engaging obstacle-course experience that promotes physical fitness, movement skills, strength, balance, coordination, problem-solving, and confidence. It is a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves while participating in an inclusive and enjoyable physical activity.
A non-refundable fee of $8.50 will be added to students’ fees to help cover the cost of this special PE experience.
We are looking forward to providing students with this exciting opportunity to be active, challenge themselves, and have fun!
Terry Fox
We are excited to announce our upcoming Terry Fox Run that will take place during Physical Education Wednesday September 17, 2026. This year, our goal as a school is to raise $2,500 to support cancer research.
How to Donate
- Donations can be made online or by bringing a toonie for Terry to one of your PE teachers. Please submit your donations, as we will be keeping the website active till the end of the day on Sept 18th.

BP store
We are excited to share that Bishop Pinkham has partnered with Summarized Designs to launch a brand-new Panther Clothing Store! Our goal is to help students feel a strong sense of community and pride while offering convenient access to quality spirit wear.
The store features a selection of school-spirit items for students including hoodies, sweaters, shirts, and shorts. Student will also be able to customize colours, sizes, and logos on select items. All items are optional to purchase.
Please note that all sales are final. The schools are delivered at the school and take 1-2 weeks to arrive. We are happy to make exceptions for size exchanges or any quality concerns to ensure families are satisfied.
We invite you to check out the store to browse the new collection! More details including ordering information and delivery timelines will be shared with students upon ordering.
