Bonjour BP families.
This week, our school is proud to celebrate Substitute Teacher Appreciation Week. Substitute teachers play an essential role in keeping our classrooms running smoothly and ensuring that learning continues seamlessly whenever a regular teacher is away. Their flexibility, professionalism, and willingness to step into any classroom—often on short notice—make a tremendous difference in the daily life of our school.
We are grateful for the care they show our students, the relationships they build, and the calm confidence they bring into every learning space. Substitutes support instruction, maintain routines, and help provide the consistency our students need to thrive. Quite simply, our school could not function without their dedication.
Throughout the week, we’ll be recognizing and thanking our substitute teachers in a variety of ways, and we encourage you to join us in expressing appreciation whenever you see them in our hallways and classrooms.
Upcoming School Conferences
Conference booking opened yesterday. Due to the limited number of time slots available, parents/guardians are asked to book a conference only if there is something specific they would like to discuss with their child’s teacher. There are not enough appointment times for every family, so we appreciate your consideration in helping ensure that families who need time to connect are able to do so. Families are encouraged to sign up early to secure a time that works best for them. A note for our grade 7 families who haven't yet booked conferences, that when booking with homeroom teachers, the conference would be for the once a week homeroom class, not any of your student's other classes (they may have different teachers for math, science, humanities, etc.)
French Week Poutine Orders
We would love your support with our upcoming Poutine Food Truck visit during French Week! At the moment, orders are quite low, and we want to ensure the truck is able to return for future events.
A reminder that the food truck will be on-site on March 19, and all orders must be placed in advance through Healthy Hunger. No day‑of orders will be accepted. Ordering will close one week prior, on March 12.
In addition to poutine, there are gluten‑free options and a just‑fries option available for students who prefer something different.
Thank you for helping us make this a fun and successful experience for our students.

Badminton Tryouts
Badminton tryouts will begin the week immediately following March Break. Students interested in trying out for the team should come prepared with appropriate athletic clothing, indoor running shoes, and a water bottle. All equipment will be provided, but students may bring their own racquet if they prefer.
Our goal is to provide a positive experience for all students, whether they are new to the sport or returning players. Coaches will be assessing basic skills, effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the tryout process. Final team lists will be shared after the tryouts conclude. Thank you to our coaches, Mr. Hansinger, Ms. Ross, Mrs. Clements, Mr. Carr, Mr. Scott, and Mme McQuarrie, for volunteering their time for our students
Thank you for your support—we’re looking forward to a great badminton season ahead! Go Panthers!
